There are many other novels written by Anne Rice that are supernatural in nature, and many of them take place in New Orleans:

Published in 1989. An archaeologist unearths the tomb of Ramses II and finds the mummy of the king, who turns out to be immortal. Opposite of vampires, he needs sunlight to remain animated, and when the tomb opens, he is revived.

Published in 1997. A ghost novel that centers around music. It takes place in 19th century Vienna and modern New Orleans.

Published in 1996, this book centers on Azriel, the servant of the bones. He is a spirit that tells his tale of his journey from ancient Babylon to Europe to modern Manhattan.

Published in 2002.   It is a short story about vampires.

Published in 1979, this book does not contain the supernatural. It takes place in 1840’s New Orleans, and centers around the relationships between the black slaves and white masters.
